Water Main Break in the 5200 block of N Ogden Ave
Repairs are being made to a water main in the 5200 block of N Ogden Rd. Residents in the surrounding area many experience a temporary disruption in water pressure and/or discolored water. The discolored water poses no health or safety risk and should clear up in a few hours. If you have any questions please contact the Water Department at 309-686-2375, ext 1.
Hydrant flushing Monday, September 18 - Galena area below the bluff
Due to repairs that halted flushing below the hill, the water department will be flushing hydrants in the Galena area below the bluff on Monday, September 18th.
Hydrant flushing will occur from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Use of water for laundry purposes is not advisable during flushing due to the possibility of discoloration. Iron remover detergent is available upon request. This condition does NOT pose any health hazard. For additional information, please call the Water Office at (309) 686-2375.

Boil order is in effect for residents in the 4900-5000 block of Galena Rd and Roosevelt Rd due to a water main break. Temporary disruptions in water service may occur while the water main is being repaired. Please consult the Boil Order Guidelines PDF for best practices to use during a boil order. Residents will be notified when the boil order has been lifted.
Neighboring areas may experience discolored water. There are no health or safety hazards with this condition. Do not do laundry while water is discolored to avoid any staining. Flushing water lines will help to clear out the discolored water.
